African Lion Safari
The African Lion Safari park is one of the best places to visit with your family in Hamilton. The park features a large game reserve that showcases the beauty of live African lions in wild setting. You are able to drive through the reserve in your own car so your family can view the exhibit in safety and comfort.
If you are up for a little more adventure, you and your family can take a cruise on the African Queen boat tour which allows you lovely scenic views of the reserve and park while coasting along the water. Another great way to tour the park is on the Nature Boy scenic railway. The route takes you through unseen areas that are not accessible via walking so you can get an up close and personal look at nature, and what’s not to love about a train ride!
The African Lion Safari opens early at 9 am, and closes at 4 pm on weekdays, and is open from 9 am – 5 pm on the weekends, so make sure to get there early to enjoy as much of the park as possible to fully partake in all there is to offer. Spring admission for adults is affordably priced at $32.95, and $30.95 for senior visitors, while children tickets are $22.95. Summer admission for adults is affordably priced at $37.95, and $35.95 for senior visitors, while children tickets are $27.95. There is ample parking on site for all park visitors.
There are plenty of hands-on things to do at the African Lion Safari park. For those hot days, bring your swimsuits and take a dip at the fun-filled Misumu Bay attraction, or take the toddlers over to the children’s petting zoo so they can touch and feel the animals. There are various displays where kids can find out more about various creatures, and also a discovery center where kids can engage in hands-on learning. There are over 1,000 species of animals at the park, so your trip is sure to be filled with fun, learning, and excitement.
